Crimes of Greater Prague
Inspector Hynek Budík, an experienced Austro-Hungarian criminologist, husband of a noblewoman and father of two daughters, became a Czechoslovak and a member of the criminal police of the newly formed state after the coup d'état in 1918. And in 1922, when the plot of the series begins to unfold, it will also receive the long-awaited promotion. However, there is a catch: that year, the so-called Greater Prague is formed from the municipalities surrounding the then Prague. And it is this that significantly affects the fate of the protagonist. Together with his colleagues, Inspector Rudolf Havlík and Police Agent Martin Nováček, Inspector Budík will fight crime in a slightly different environment than he was used to.
