Gli alieni esistono e combattono una guerra sotteranea ed invisibile (tranne quando devasta strutture scolastiche) per eliminarsi a vicenda. Le razze sono due, ci sono i loreniani, in tutto e per tutto uguali a noi, scappati dal loro pianeta Natale e i mogadoriani, simile a noi ma più mostruosi, che dopo aver colonizzato il pianeta dei primi adesso gli danno la caccia sulla Terra. I mogadoriani stanno uccidendo i sopravvissuti del pianeta Lorien, e lo fanno in un ordine preciso: prima il numero uno, poi il numero due e via dicendo. Ogni volta che uno di loro muore gli altri loreniani avvertono l'evento e si illumina un tatuaggio sul loro corpo. Morto il numero tre, il numero quattro sa che è arrivato il suo turno, fortunatamente in un giorno di scuola come gli altri scopre di avere dei poteri che gli consentiranno di difendersi.
