Plot
Il mio amico Massimo, a film directed by Alessandro Bencivenga, is a documentary focused on the figure of Massimo Troisi, the unforgettable actor who died in 1994, but who has always remained alive in the hearts of the public. Not only a cinematographic myth, but a true icon of Italian culture, this is Massimo Troisi. Almost 70 years after the anniversary of his birth of the Neapolitan actor, the docufilm traces his life and artistic career. Cabaret, theatrical and television performances, backstage, vintage photos, and interviews with friends and exponents of the entertainment world, including Carlo Verdone, Nino Frassica, Clarissa Burt, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Ficarra and Picone and testimonies of the repertoire of Pippo Baudo and Renzo Arbore. Finally, a special participation, that of Gerardo Ferrara, the stunt double who accompanied and alleviated the efforts on the set of Troisi in the famous "il postino".
