Foly est née le 16 décembre 1962 dans le 7ème arrondissement de Lyon. Ses parents
une famille de marchands en Algérie française, est rentré en France en 1962 avec le Pied-Noir
et déménage à Lyon, près du quartier Perrache, où ils possédaient La droguerie
du sourire. À l'âge de cinq ans, elle a pratiqué la danse. À 12 ans, elle a chanté avec elle
orchestre de parents Black and White avec son frère Philippe à la batterie et sa soeur
Corinne au piano. Plus tard, elle a continué à chanter dans les discothèques et les bars locaux
développer une affinité pour le blues et le jazz. Elle a étudié les langues pour son baccalauréat
et est bilingue en français et en anglais.
Foly was born the 16 December 1962 in the 7th arrondissement of Lyon. Her parents
a merchant family in French Algeria, returned to France in 1962 with the Pied-Noir
community and moved to Lyon, near the Perrache quarter, where they owned La droguerie
du sourire. As a child of five she practised dancing. At age 12, she sang with her
parents' orchestra Black and White with her brother Philippe on the drums and her sister
Corinne at the piano. Later she continued to sing in local night clubs and bars
developing an affinity for blues and jazz. She studied languages for her Baccalauréat
and is bilingual in French and English.
