Hannah viene invece dalla California, è una eroinomane che mente, ruba e vende il suo corpo per racimolare i soldi necessari per la droga; non essendo riuscita ad affrontare la sua dipendenza, ha deciso di fuggire lasciandosi alle spalle tutto e tutti, compreso suo figlio. Tahir incontra Hannah mentre, giunta al limite, tenta di suicidarsi. Dopo averla salvata, i due danno vita a una profonda amicizia, che nel corso di un anno si trasforma presto in amore. E’ però quando la loro situazione inizia a migliorare, che la vita decide di metterli di fronte a nuove prove...
